Tara S. Guy was born in Memphis, Tennessee and received Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of eleven years. In the year two thousand she heard the voice of the Lord calling her to go ye therefore preaching and teaching to all nations.
To prepare for the calling she enrolled at World Harvest Bible College in Columbus Ohio under the leadership of Pastor Rod Parsley, next she attended William Tyndale Bible College in Farmington Michigan. She completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biblical Studies and Biblical Languages from Rochester College in Rochester Hills Michigan.
She next completed a Master of Art in Counseling Degree from Spring Arbor University. And is now Pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Counseling Education and Supervision at Liberty University. Hosea tells us “God's people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge. Tara believes that it is very important for God people to “Study to show thyself approved.”
Tara has been active in many areas of the church, Sunday School Teacher, New Members Class, working with the Elderly, Singles Ministries and coordinating Youth Programs and Conferences. She was Licensed as a Minister in 2006. She served, as Michigan State President of Women-N-Power for three years. She founded Winning Women Network International in 2010 in which she hosted a Radio Program.
Tara has a passion for soul winning; her first love is to the streets, to hurting, lost hearts. She has worked diligently with several Evangelist Street Out-Reach Ministries and Street Revivals witnessing her faith. She is also a member of Bill Glass National Prison Out-Reach Ministry. Tara is committed to Soul Winning for Christ. She is called to the ministry of Intercession as well, which is her other great passion, carrying the Holy Fire of God’s Presence as she stands in the gap for God’s people, leaders and the nations. “She loves to pray” There is no greater place to be than in the presents of God. Her greatest desire is to lead Souls to Christ and into the Will of God for their lives.
Tara lives in the Detroit, Michigan area, she is the mother of an adult son and is employed as a Psychotherapist working with Churches, the courts and has worked at several Mental Health Agencies in the Detroit area.
Tara is a Clinical Therapist, and the Founder of ANew Life Counseling Center. She desires to assist those who struggle mentally and with the vast issues in life. Among her credentials, Tara is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified Biblical Counselor. She has experience with Counseling Individuals ages 3 and to Adults, Couples, Family Counseling and Group Counseling. She has assisted individuals in the areas of Anger, Depression, Grief & Loss, Self Esteem, Parenting, Domestic Violence, and DBT. She has worked with Prisoners entry and exit, the Courts, with Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity, Adult Foster Care, the Homeless Population, Crisis Stabilization Unit, ACT Program, Day Programs, CPS, Substance Abuse, Etc. Also, some Consulting in the Counseling Field.
Tara is an active member of the Michigan Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association.
